Office Policies

Privacy
No information obtained by this office or its personnel, whether via the telephone, fax, email or in person, will be discussed with another person, family member, or health practitioner without your signed consent.

Safety/Health Promotion

*  A client’s safety and health are the underlying focuses of all sessions, whether in person or via the telephone or email.  If Dr. Ronda feels your situation requires immediate medical attention, you will be advised of this; Dr. Ronda will not see you as she does not provide emergency medical care.

*  If you are doing something that Dr. Ronda deems is unsafe, you will be advised of this.  If you choose to continue your actions (such as: take a supplement that you have been advised not to take for safety reasons), Dr. Ronda will not continue to provide consulting for you.
*  No phone session will be granted if Dr. Ronda feels you need to be seen for better care.  If Dr. Ronda feels you need a follow-up appointment and you choose not to have such an appointment, Dr. Ronda may not continue to provide consulting for you.

Cancellation/No-Show Policy

If you need to cancel or change your appointment time, you need to do that within 24 hours of your appointment time.  You can call and leave a message on the answering machine at 920-558-9806 to do this.  Dr. Ronda or a staff member will call to confirm the receipt of the message shortly after receiving it.  If you do not hear back from us within a few hours of leaving the message, call and leave another message.  It is your job to ensure your message is received.  If your appointment is for a Monday, you need to call by that time on Friday (ex: if your appointment is for 11 a.m. on Monday, you need to call by 11 a.m. on Friday).  NO EMAILS.  It is also your responsibility to know the correct time of your appointment—if you have any doubt about your scheduled time, you need to call to confirm.

Short Consultations

A short consultation is determined as time spent on the telephone or via email discussing a health issue outside the parameters of your previous consultation whether supplements and/or homeopathic remedies were recommended.  NO short consultations are allowed unless you are an established client and active, meaning you have not missed a follow-up evaluation.
Any “discussion” outside what you had been evaluated for by Dr. Ronda, unless Dr. Ronda feels that you need to be evaluated, then you will not receive a short visit but a full evaluation; the applicable fees will be charged.

Several examples of a short consultation:

• after your initial evaluation your medical doctor gave you an antibiotic, advised medical treatment or you received a new medical diagnosis and you want to discuss it with Dr. Ronda.

• you want to discuss a supplement or such and you don’t want to wait until your next appointment.

• Several examples of when a new evaluation will be warranted: you develop a new condition; you have a change to your current health conditions; you want to know if you should stop, change or get a new homeopathic remedy.

Office Hours

Office hours are generally 10 - 4 Mondays through Fridays (see "Hours" tab for actual hours as they are changed seasonally).  When Dr. Ronda is in session, she does not answer the phone, so please leave a detailed message.  She doesn’t have Caller ID, so be sure to make your information clear.

Coming to Office without Appointment

As Dr. Ronda’s office is out of her home, no one is to come to the office without an appointment.  Anyone coming to the door without an appointment or prior confirmation will not be seen, plus, Dr. Ronda will NOT continue to provide consulting for you.  This is a strict policy.

Phone Calls & Emails

Phone calls and emails made after business hours will be handled the following business day.  Phone calls and emails received during business hours will be handled as follows; emails will be returned at 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. CST; phone calls will be returned as time allows throughout the day, or at the end of the day after seeing clients is completed.

1. For any emergencies, call 9-1-1 or your local emergency number.  You will NOT be evaluated if Dr. Ronda feels your situation requires immediate medical attention.

2. Messages about cancellation or changing appointment times can be left on the answering machine or with the office attendant at 920-558-9806 (see Cancellation/No Show Policy); NO EMAILS.

3. When leaving a message on the answering machine, tell what the phone call is about.  Messages left without a reason for the call (such as:  “This is John Doe at 123-1234”) may not be returned.

4. Any questions about your previous consultation will be discussed the same business day, if at all possible.

5. Any inquiries about supplements outside the recommendations from the consultation will be handled during your next scheduled appointment.  If you do not have a scheduled appointment, your questions will be filed with your chart for the next time you make an appointment.  If you really want to discuss it, you will be charged for a short evaluation.  Emails will tell you that the item will not be discussed until your next appointment or the fee assigned to answer your question.

6. If you call or email to request a consultation with another practitioner, such as emotional counseling, the request will be filed in your chart for your next visit  If you want the information right away, let Dr. Ronda know.  It will be your responsibility to contact the referred practitioner(s).

7. If your phone call or email constitutes a short consultation, you will be charged for the consultation fee using the check or credit card number on hold in your file. If there is no check or credit card number on file, you will not be allowed a short consultation until payment has been received.

Payments

1. Payments accepted are cash, money orders or checks (payable to Dr. Ronda Behnke), major credit cards (MasterCard, Visa, Discover) or via PayPal.  Charges to credit cards will read "Ronda's Remedies".

2. An appointment will not be scheduled without securing it with payment.

3. Charges for a short consultation, cancellation or changes of appointment with less than 24 hours’ notice, or a missed appointment will be the check or credit card number that is on hold in your file.  If there is no credit card on file, you will not receive a short consultation.

4. A $35 charge will be applied to NSF checks plus bank fees.

5. If supplements or homeopathics are to be ordered for you, payment must be made before supplements are ordered.  All ordered supplements are sent directly to your home; Dr. Ronda no longer allows pick-ups on orders for privacy and security reasons.

Office visits begin at the time of the scheduled appointment.  If you are late, you will still be charged according to the time for which your appointment was scheduled to begin.  If you arrive or call too late before the next scheduled appointment, you will not be evaluated and you will be charged for the appointment.  If your appointment goes over the allotted time, additional fees will apply.
